Padding Loamy on a Brew of Earth
Tori Grant Welhouse’s latest book is a poetry chapbook Padding Loamy on a Brew of Earth, a lyrical reckoning with identity, displacement, and the quiet negotiations of love. In this intimate chapbook, she reflects on her time as a young MFA student in London, where an unlikely romance led to an elopement and a new life in a remote Scottish Village on the edge of the North Sea.

About
Tori Grant Welhouse is a Wisconsin poet and writer. Her newest poetry chapbook is Padding Loamy on a Brew of Earth from Bottlecap Press. Her other chapbooks include Vaginas Need Air with Etchings Press (winner of their 2020 chapbook contest), and Canned with Finishling Line Press. She has also published a YA fantasy novel, The Fergus, with Skyrocket Press (winner of their inaugural novel-writing contest). She has been published in Arlington Literary Journal and Passionfruit Review, among many other publications. She has been nominated for Best of the Net and a Pushcart Prize.
Tori Grant Welhouse also published independently Cooketry Favorites, a hybrid gift book of poetry, photography, and recipes, and Stashed: A Primer in Lunch Poems, a collection of lesson poems for daughters.
She earned an MFA in Creative Writing at Antioch International, London, United Kingdom. She is also an active volunteer with Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets (wfop.org).
